Former assassin and longtime wiseass Donnie Danks never thought he’d be a father. But when his twin brother is double-crossed and killed during a routine drug run on Lake Ontario, he has no other choice. Being a guardian for his teenage niece Iggy doesn’t exactly suit his lifestyle, especially after he botches a job he never wanted, a calculated assault that was supposed to pay for her tuition.

 

Caught between conflicting worlds, Danks must kill a man in the hospital or let him testify to the assault. Doing time would deprive Iggy of all she has left, but murder would kill her only remaining role model. And lately, she’s begun to exhibit some troubling behaviors -- sneaking out, using drugs, and developing an obsession with her father's past which might just wind up being more dangerous than a hit-man's vengeance.
